Configuring Your Business Settings

Set up your business information, locations, tax settings, and preferences for optimal Nubeso operation.

Prerequisites

  • Completed account setup

Navigate to Business Settings

From the main dashboard, click on your profile icon in the top right corner. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu. In the settings page, choose "Business Information" from the left sidebar. This is where you'll configure all your business details.

  • Have your business documents ready for reference

Update Business Information

Enter or update your complete business information: Legal business name, Doing Business As (DBA) name if different, Business registration number or Tax ID, Physical address, Mailing address (if different), Phone number, Website URL, Business email. Ensure all information is accurate as it will appear on official documents.

  • Incorrect tax ID can cause payment processing issues

Select Your Business Type

Choose the business type that best describes your operations. Options include: Restaurant (enables POS, menu management, kitchen display), Retail (enables inventory, barcode scanning), Professional Services (enables time tracking, project billing), Real Estate (enables property listings, lead management), Construction (enables project management, material tracking), Other service-based business. Your selection unlocks specific features tailored to your industry.

  • You can change business type later if needed
  • Multiple business types can be selected for hybrid businesses

Add Business Locations

If you have multiple locations, add them here. For each location, provide: Location name, Full address, Phone number, Operating hours, Manager or responsible person. Multi-location support allows you to track inventory, sales, and staff separately for each location.

  • Set a primary/default location
  • Each location can have its own POS terminal
  • Generate location-specific reports

Configure Tax Settings

Set up your tax rates and rules: Sales tax rate for your region, Multiple tax rates if applicable, Tax-exempt products/services, Tax collection rules (origin vs destination-based), VAT settings for international businesses. Nubeso automatically calculates taxes on invoices and POS transactions.

  • Consult with a tax professional for accurate rates
  • Tax settings can be overridden per transaction
  • Keep tax rates updated with local changes

Set Business Hours

Configure your regular operating hours for each day of the week. You can set: Different hours for different locations, Special hours for holidays, Closed days, Break times for restaurants. These hours affect scheduling, customer communications, and POS availability.

  • Update hours for holiday seasons
  • Set reminder notifications for staff

Upload Your Business Logo

Upload your business logo for branding consistency across: Invoices and receipts, Email communications, Customer portal, POS displays. Recommended logo specifications: Format: PNG with transparent background, Size: At least 512x512 pixels, File size: Under 2MB.

  • Use a high-quality logo for best results
  • Square logos work best for consistency

Configure Notifications

Set up notification preferences for your team: Email notifications for new orders, invoices, payments, SMS alerts for urgent matters, In-app notifications, Daily/weekly summary reports. Customize which team members receive which types of notifications.
