Setting Up Stripe Payment Integration

Connect Stripe to accept online payments, view balances, and manage transactions.

Prerequisites

  • Stripe account created
  • Business verification completed
  • Bank account linked to Stripe

Create Stripe Account

Visit stripe.com and click "Sign up". Enter your email, create a password, and verify your email. Complete your business profile with: Legal business name, Business address, Tax ID/EIN, Business type and industry. Add your bank account details for payouts.

  • Have tax documents ready
  • Verification can take 1-2 business days

Important Warnings

  • Provide accurate information - mismatches can delay verification

Complete Stripe Verification

Stripe requires identity verification for security and compliance. Upload required documents: Government-issued ID, Business registration documents, Bank account verification, Proof of address. Wait for Stripe to review and approve your account.

  • Check your email for Stripe updates

Navigate to Nubeso Integrations

Log in to your Nubeso account. Go to Settings > Integrations. Find "Stripe" in the list of available integrations. Click "Connect" or "Setup" next to Stripe.

  • Have your Stripe login credentials ready

Authorize Stripe Connection

You'll be redirected to Stripe to authorize the connection. Log in with your Stripe credentials. Review the permissions Nubeso is requesting. Click "Authorize access" to complete the connection. You'll be redirected back to Nubeso with a confirmation.

Important Warnings

  • Only authorize from the official Stripe website
  • Check the URL for security

Configure Payment Settings

Back in Nubeso, configure your payment preferences: Default currency, Accepted payment methods (card, ACH, wallets), Enable saved payment methods for customers, Set up payment receipt branding, Configure automatic payment reminders.

  • Start with card payments, add methods gradually
  • Test with small amounts first

Set Up Stripe Terminal (Optional)

For in-person payments with POS: Order Stripe Terminal hardware from Stripe, Register the terminal in your Stripe Dashboard, Connect the terminal to your location in Nubeso, Test a transaction to ensure it's working.

  • Keep terminal charged
  • Position near checkout
  • Train staff on card reader use

Create Payment Links and Invoices

Enable Stripe checkout on your invoices. Create payment links for quick collections. Set up recurring billing for subscriptions. Configure invoice payment pages with your branding.

  • Enable email receipts
  • Test the payment flow as a customer

Test in Stripe Test Mode

Before going live, use Stripe's test mode. Use test card numbers provided by Stripe (4242 4242 4242 4242). Verify payments process correctly, Create test invoices and process test payments, Check that webhooks are working.

Important Warnings

  • Never use real card numbers in test mode
  • Test both successful and failed payments

Switch to Live Mode

Once testing is complete: In Stripe, toggle from Test mode to Live mode, Update your Stripe API keys in Nubeso (Settings > Integrations), Process a small real transaction to verify, Monitor your first few transactions carefully.

  • Double-check you're in Live mode before accepting real payments
  • Backup test data if needed

Monitor Transactions and Balance

View your Stripe balance from the Nubeso dashboard. Track all transactions in the Billing section. Monitor: Successful payments, Failed/declined payments, Refunds and disputes, Stripe fees, Payout schedule. Set up daily/weekly reports.
